Granterroirs is the lunchtime embodiment of a food lover's dream in this business neighborhood. The attractive gourmet food shop, deli, and restaurant is open Monday to Friday from morning to evening, but the only meal served is lunch. Everyone sits on benches at one long communal table in the back. Don't worry if your French is not quite up to par; everyone is friendly, and for the regulars it is their adopted home for lunch, a place they gather on a daily basis for simple food served without fanfare. These are people who know and appreciate the high-quality regional wines and products served and prepared in a straightforward manner by owner Jean-François Gimenez and staff. The daily changing selection features soups in the winter, salads in the summer, and tartines, a plat, organic bread, and always homemade desserts and ice cream. If you like what you're eating, you can buy the products and create the dish yourself. Also for sale are artisanal French olive oils, jams, jellies, candies, sauces, and gourmet gift baskets to warm the heart of any Parisian foodie. No smoking is allowed.
